Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus which prevent occurrence of image defects due to surface flawing of a photoreceptor, improve the transferability of a toner by an image forming system using an intermediate transfer member and cause neither streaky image defect nor image defect such as a void.
SOLUTION: In the image forming method in which a latent image formed on an organic photoreceptor is developed with a two-component developer, a toner image made visible by the development is transferred to an intermediate transfer member in a primary transfer step, the toner image transferred to the intermediate transfer member is transferred to a recording material in a secondary transfer step and the residual toner on the organic photoreceptor is removed after transferring the toner image to the recording material in a cleaning step, a creep rate of the organic photoreceptor (a creep rate shown when a Vickers indentor is thrust down under a load of 20 mN) is 1 to <3.5%.
