To obtain an image forming method superior in cleaning characteristics and durability even in the case of using a photoreceptor contg. a charge transfer material CTM having an ionization potential Ip of ≤5.3 (eV) by developing the photoreceptor with a developer containing fine inorganic particles in which the average particle diameter is in a specific range.
This electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a charge transfer material CTM having an ionization potential IP of ≤5.3 (eV) is developed by an image forming method using a developer containing inorganic fine particles having an average particle diameter of 80-400 nm. An organic photoreceptor drum 21 contains the charge transfer material CTM having an ionization potential(Ip) of ≤5.3 (eV) and is an organic photoreceptor provided with a surface layer containing a polycarbonate preferably, having a viscosity- average molecular weight of ≥40,000 and in which the photosensitive layer has a thickness of preferably, ≥25 nm. The developer to be used has a volume average molecular weight of 80-400 nm and a cleaning blade 23 made of elastic rubber is used as a cleaning means 22.
