Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and a recording medium used therefor in which an image has a uniform and the same gloss as the recording medium independent of an image density and an image area ratio, and has no unevenness of color, and especially, the recording medium is little curled after image formation.
SOLUTION: According to this image forming method, a toner image transported to a transfer position is transferred onto a predetermined recording medium by a toner image carrier which holds the toner image and transports it from a predetermined toner image forming position to a predetermined toner image transfer position. And, this method includes a transfer/fixation process in which the transported toner image is closely adhered to the recording medium and also fixed thereon while being heated, and as this recording medium, such a recording medium is used that a substrate surface is provided with a thermoplastic transparent resin layer and a relation between the modulus of elongation E (N/mm2) in the CD direction of the substrate of this recording medium and the substrate thickness t (mm) satisfies E.t3≥8 (N.mm).
