Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method which can always uniformly form a toner layer on a sleeve, and prevent the occurrence of all over black following phenomenon, a ghost and the deterioration of a toner.
CONSTITUTION: In the image forming method in which a one-component toner 6 is controlled by a developer control member 4 abutted on a developer carrier 3, and the developer is transported to a developing section opposite to an image carrier 1 by the developer carrier 3 while forming the thin layer of the developer on the developer carrier, and a latent image formed on the image carrier is developed by the developer in the developing section to be visible, (1) the method has a developer supply means 6 which abuts on the developer carrier 3 and is made rotatable, and the developer supply means 6 is provided at a position on an upstream side in the rotary direction from a developer control member 4, and the surface of the developer supply means 6 moves in a direction opposite to the developer carrier 3 in a part abutting on it, and has an irregularity in the rotary direction of the supply means 6, (2) the toner contains titanium oxide fine particles which are surface treated by a coupling agent and have the weight average diameter of 0.01 to 0.2μm as an externally adding agent.
