To provide an image forming method by which durability such as resistance to toner deterioration or resistance to toner fusion can be largely improved while maintaining low temperature fixability in a contact developing system image forming process having cleanerless constitution or using an intermediate transfer body.
This image forming method is provided with an electrification stage for electrifying an electrostatic charge image carrier 109, an exposure stage for forming an electrostatic latent image on the electrified image carrier 109 by exposure, a developing stage for forming a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier 109 with toner while bringing the surface of the image carrier 109 into contract with a toner layer formed of the toner carried on a toner carrier 102, and a transfer stage for transferring the toner image formed on the image carrier 109 to transfer material. The toner 104 contains at least binding resin, colorant and wax, and the binding resin contains at least polycarbonate resin.
