Abstract:
To provide a technique for forming a color image without producing surface glare on a finished image.
In the image forming method, an electrostatic charge image developing toner containing at least a binder resin and coloring agent is thermally fixed. As for the coloring agent, a sublimable or thermally diffusible dye having ≥0.2 g/100 cc solubility in methylethylketone and having ≤600 mol.wt. is used. An image is thermally fixed on a recording material having an image accepting layer in such a manner that the difference of gloss between the image part and imageless part after thermal fixing is ≤5.0%.
