To provide an image forming method in which the carrying property of developer is excellent, the surface of a developer carrier is prevented from being soiled, and by which a high-quality image being excellent in fixation can be obtained extending over a long term even when an oilless color toner including wax is used.
This image forming method is provided with a process for forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrier and a process for developing the electrostatic latent image with the developer carried on the developer carrier arranged by being opposed to the electrostatic latent image carrier. Then, the color toner including 1 to 10 weight % of wax is used as the developer. Besides, the developer carrier constituted so that the expression of 5≤Rz×20≤Sm is satisfied by the 10-point average roughness Rz of the surface thereof and an average gap Sm between the projecting and the recessed parts thereof is used as the developer carrier.
