To provide an image forming method excellent in environmental stability and repeating stability, having excellent electrification performance and satisfying high image quality and high reliability simultaneously.
This image forming method includes an electrification stage for electrifying an electrophotographic photoreceptor by the application of voltage from the outside in a state where an electrifying member is brought into contact with the photoreceptor, an electrostatic latent image forming stage for forming a latent image, and a toner image forming stage for developing the latent image by using electrostatic charge image developer. In the method, the electrifying member is constituted by using an electrifying roll where an ion conductive elastic body layer and a surface layer in which electronic conductive substance is dispersed are successively laminated on a conductive supporting body, and the electrostatic charge image developer includes toner for developing an electrostatic charge image constituted by satisfying a specified condition.
