To provide an image forming method, making image gloss uniform independently of quantity of toner placed on a record medium and restraining incompatibility between the image gloss and the gloss of the record medium.
This image forming method at least includes: a developing process of developing an electrostatic charge image on an image support with toner to obtain a toner image; a transfer process of transferring the toner image to the record medium; and a fixing process of fixing the toner image transferred onto the record medium by heating, wherein the method at least includes a low speed mode (PS1) of forming an image at a low speed and a high speed mode (PS2) of forming an image at a high speed, and an image can be formed at different speeds, and in the fixing process, the relationship between a fixing temperature T1C in the low speed mode and a fixing temperature T2C in the high speed mode is T2T1.
