Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method rarely generating a ghost and capable of obtaining an image having excellent resolution and gradation for various transfer materials.
CONSTITUTION: The toner remaining on an electrophotographic photoreceptor after a transfer is recovered in the developing process. The exposure intensity in the exposing process is the exposure intensity or above at the contact point between a characteristic curve and a straight line having the slope of 1/20 of the slope of the straight line passing through a point having the surface potential of the dark section potential Vd on the exposure intensity-surface potential characteristic curve of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and a point having the potential of (Vd + residual potential Vr)/2, and it is lower than five times of the half exposure intensity.
