Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for reducing light energy to be used and obtaining an excellent color fixed image.
SOLUTION: This image forming method includes a step for emitting flashlight to color toner containing at least a binding resin, a coloring material, an infrared absorbent to a fix a toner layer formed on a recording medium. The method includes a flash fixing step in which the PAS (photoacoustic spectroscopy) strength S of the color toner obtained by integrating an infrared PAS spectrum obtained on the basis of photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) analysis measurement in the range of 800 to 2000 nm, melt viscosity ρ at the reference temperature of the toner and the energy E of the flashlight satisfy a relation expression (2): 1000≤ρ/E×S≤5500 (2).
