Abstract:
To provide an image forming system allowing for reducing the time of space occupation by stacked sheets discharged outside of a machine.SOLUTION: An image forming system comprises an image forming apparatus 5 that prints an image on a recording material based on a job and a stacker apparatus 1 that temporarily accommodates internally recording materials on which images are formed by the image forming apparatus 5 in a stacked state and then discharges them. The stacker apparatus 1 has a second tray 22 that can be moved to a take-out position and a control unit 41 that controls the second tray 22. The control unit 41, if it is prohibited to lay one over another recording materials printed by a plurality of jobs and after printing based on a preceding job terminates and a succeeding job is set to stack the recording materials within the stacker apparatus 1, allows the second tray 22 on which the recording materials of the preceding job are stacked to move to the take-out position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
