Abstract:
To provide an image forming system that can achieve both an improvement in convenience for a user and power saving.SOLUTION: An image forming system 100 comprises one or more image forming apparatuses 10, 11, and a server 30. The one or more image forming apparatuses 10, 11 transmit sleep notification when they enter a sleep state being a power-saving state, and transmit sleep return notification when they return to a non-power-saving state from the sleep state. The server 30 monitors the sleep notification and the sleep return notification, and when the sleep state of the specific image forming apparatus 10 of the one or more image forming apparatuses 10, 11 continues for a certain time or longer, issues a power cutoff command to the specific image forming apparatus 10 to cause the specific image forming apparatus 10 to cut off power by itself. Before issuing the power cutoff command, the server 30 distributes power cutoff notice to a user who has used the specific image forming apparatus 10 before.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
