PURPOSE: To easily separate a color signal by so arranging color filters as to always output a first color signal from one second transfer means and to alternately output second and third color signals from the other second transfer means at every one horizontal scanning period.

CONSTITUTION: G color filters are provided perpendicularly on the light incident face of a photoelectric converter 12 for producing storing charge by odd- numbered vertical registers 13K, R color filters 2 pixels and B color filter 2 pixels are alternately so provided perpendicularly on the light incident face of the converter 12 for producing storing charge by the even-numbered registers 13G as to dispose the color filters of the same color horizontally. Accordingly, when they are scanned, only a G signal is output from the register 14K and R and B signals are alternately output from the registers 14G at every one horizontal period, amplifiers 15K, 15G for amplifying the signal charges from the registers 14K, 14G are provided on the substrate 11. Thus, a separation in the color signal is facilitated.
