PURPOSE: To offer an image display input device capable of displaying a longitudinal object in its longitudinal state even at the time of inputting an image in the vertical arrangement state of an image pickup device in respect to an image input device for obtaining especially a still picture out of various image input display devices.

CONSTITUTION: The image input display device is provided with an image pickup means 2 for photographing an object and forming image pickup data, a storage means 13 for storing image pickup data and a display means 6 for displaying an image based on the image pickup data includes also a data conversion means 11 for executing the vertical axis/horizontal axis conversion of the image pickup data and a selection means 5 for selecting whether the means 11 is to be driven or not.
