Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvable the definition of a real time image such as animation with the circuit configuration of a small scale by deriving a delay wavelet component by delaying the wavelet component of predicted scale resolution dimension number (n) and an input image signal, and generating the expanded high-definition frame image data of scale resolution degree of (n-1)-order by executing an inverse wavelet transformation this component. SOLUTION: A delay control part 20 applies suitable delay to n-order wavelet components 8-11, 12-15 and 16-19 outputted from a high resolution predicting part 7 and frame image data Vn inputted from an input terminal 1, simultaneously performs the double conversion of high frequency and outputs signals 21-24 of n-order wavelet components LH, HL, HH and LL. An inverse wavelet transforming part 25 performs an inverse wavelet transformation to the signals 21-24 of n-order delay wavelet components outputted from the delay control part 20. Then, expanded high-definition frame image data Vn-1 and 26 are outputted from the inverse wavelet transforming part 25.
