Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitoring system capable of immediately accurately grasping a specific feature of a person committing a crime or injustice inside a store, and automatically informing a salesclerk, an external organization or the like. SOLUTION: This system has a plurality of image pickup means 10, 11, 12, 26 set in prescribed positions from which a person can be photographed from the front, right and left directions, inside of the store; an image processing means 40 extracting an image of the person from image information acquired by the image pickup means 10, 11, 12, 26 by background deletion; a comparison means 50 extracting data on a prescribed portion showing the feature of the person's image obtained by the image processing means 40, and comparing the data on the prescribed portion with previously registered data of image information about the person on a blacklist; and a transmission means 70 transmitting prescribed warning information to various kinds of notification devices inside the store when the comparison means 50 decides that both the data accord or are similar.
