Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting an image motion vector with a small amount of operations.
SOLUTION: The image motion vector detection system provides a means 2H for taking out line data of the prescribed lines from one frame of an image, a means 3H for filtering the line data regarding edge extraction, means 5H, 6H, and 7H for accumulating respective line data by shifting respective line data after filtering a current frame for the time based on the line data and a first threshold after filtering, a means 8H for determining a lateral motion vector on the basis of this output, a means 2V for taking out column data for the prescribed columns from an image of one frame, a means 3V for performing filtering of edge extraction to the column data, means 5V, 6V, and 7V for accumulating respective column data by shifting respective column data after filtering the current frame for the time based on the column data and a second threshold after filtering, and a means 8V for determining a vertical motion vector on the basis of this output.
