PURPOSE: To enhance operability, by providing a signal cable, which transmits the signal of the television camera mounted to the eyepiece part of a fiberscope and the signal of a signal processing means performing the processing of the signal of the television camera, in the fiberscope.

CONSTITUTION: An endoscope image pickup apparatus 1 is constituted of an electronic endoscope (electronic scope) 2A, a structure 2C wherein a externally fitted television camera 3 is mounted to a fiberscope 2B, a light source apparatus supplying illumination light to the scopes 2, a signal processing part 5 for receiving the output signals of both scopes 2A, 2C and converting the same to a television signals to output the same and a monitor 6 for displaying the television signals as an image. Each of the scopes 2 has an elongated insert part 7 and an operating part 8 is formed thereto on the rear end side thereof and two universal cords 9A, 11A and 9B, 11B are branched from the operating part 8 and the signal wire connecting the television camera and the signal processing part is passed through the endoscope to make it possible to enhance operability.
