Abstract:
To provide an image pickup apparatus in the image pickup optical system of which a diaphragm mechanism is improved, so that the generation of a flare or a ghost can be prevented and a dynamic range can be enlarged.
The image pickup apparatus 1 is provided, at the least, with the image pickup optical system 2 and an image pickup element 5 for forming an optical image of the object by the image pickup optical system 2. At least one of image formation optical systems of the image pickup optical system 2 is composed of reflection mirrors 4, 7 and one of the reflection mirrors has diaphragm functions 6, 7, 8.
