Title:
IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004173023
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an image pickup device and an electronic publishing system, which pick up a high-definition moving image and output an imaging signal which allows a still picture like a photograph to be printed throughout in the A4 size.

A pixel constitution part 21 being a principal part of an imaging device consists of CMOSs and has 3840 pixels in the horizontal direction and 2160 pixels in the vertical direction arranged like a two-dimensional matrix and is divided into 8 divided imaging areas A0 to A7 in the horizontal direction, where subject optical images are picked up independently of one another and are converted to electric signals corresponding to the light quantities. A vertical synchronizing signal driving part 23 incorporates an interface driving circuit Vi and a progressive driving circuit Vp and is allowed to select one of these two driving circuits Vi and Vp in accordance with a control signal P/I supplied from the outside. Since the interlace driving circuit Vi and the progressive driving circuit Vp are built in a CMOS sensor, scanning system switching is made easy.
