Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus capable of detecting a focus with higher accuracy while reducing influences of noise.SOLUTION: A pixel part of an imaging element includes a first photoelectric conversion part and a second photo-electric conversion part for receiving light passing through different pupil regions of an imaging optical system. A first signal is acquired from the first photoelectric conversion part (S901); a second signal is acquired by subtracting the first signal from a sum signal of the first photoelectric conversion part and the second photoelectric conversion part (S902); a first reference signal with respect to the first signal and a second reference signal with respect to the second signal are calculated (S903, S904); a first correction signal and a second correction signal are calculated (S905, S906); in a first correction step, the second signal and the first signal are corrected respectively based on the first correction signal and the second correction signal (S907 to S910); in a second correction step, the first signal and the second signal are respectively corrected based on the first reference signal and the second reference signal (S911 to S914); and a defocus amount is calculated based on a correlation value between the first signal and the second signal after corrected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
