PURPOSE: To obtain an image pickup device which can be simplified and reduced in size and obtain more accurate correction data by integrating image data of plural frames, pixel by pixel, and using the correction data corresponding to the mean image data.
CONSTITUTION: When image data DG corresponding to one pixel are inputted from an A/D converter 5, an arithmetic circuit 6 integrates the data as integrated image data IDG in a 1st memory 11. Once image data DG of plural frames are integrated, their mean image data are stored as correction image data CDG in a 2nd memory 10. The image data DG are therefore corrected by using the correction image data CDG which are updated by every plural frames, and in a normal photographic state, corrections corresponding to the light intensity of a subject are made. Consequently, the latest data are used as the correction data at all times and more accurate corrections can be made.
