Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a photographed video signal without increasing memory capacity and to perform signal processing.
SOLUTION: In a storage mode of a camera, a video signal outputted from a CCD in a prescribed cycle is divided into odd fields and even fields (S7 and s8), both of them are separately stored in different areas, video signals are read from the memory by eight lines each in a cycle that is different from the prescribed one, luminance and color difference data are created, and the luminance data and the color difference data are stored in different areas of the memory (S10). The luminance and color difference data of the eight lines which are stored in the memory are outputted to a JPEG processing part to be compressed (S12), and the compressed video data are stored in a storage medium (S14).
