Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of reducing noise in a photographed image while securing the continuity of exposure during bulb photographing, and designed to perform optimum updating of display as suitable for a subject.SOLUTION: The image pickup device comprises: image pickup means for performing image pickup by a rolling shutter drive for sequentially reading out a frame image while accumulating in an image pickup sensor in a set cycle during bulb photographing; addition arithmetic means for adding and synthesizing with an already read-out frame image each time a frame image is read out; storage means for storing a frame image and a synthesized image generated by the addition arithmetic means; movement detection means for detecting the movement speed of a subject from successive frame images; and display means for sequentially outputting the synthesized image generated by the addition arithmetic means to a display device, a cycle in which frame images are accumulated in the image pickup sensor being changed according to the movement speed of the subject detected by the movement detection means, and a display updating interval at which the synthesized image is displayed on the display unit being changed also.
