To solve the problems that an image pickup device has high possibility that the device is difficult to adaptable to photographing, so that a processing amount becomes huge and non-photographed parts can be generated in the case of photographing while dividing a subject into the form of tiles because of difficulty of superposition of partial images.
This image pickup device provided with a display means 15 for displaying an image and photographing a subject as partial pictures divided into plural parts so as to overlap by a prescribed quantity is provided with a means 13 for generating the partial images to be displayed by the means 15 by dividing the whole image photographed in advance into a prescribed size by using information on superposition between the partial images.
