Abstract:

To make a shutter device conduct charging motion which conforms to a photographing mode of an image pickup device.

The image pickup device includes a shutter charging means which switches between an overcharging state which holds a shutter-driving member in a state in which shutter springs are overcharged, after the charging of the shutter springs (a shutter front blade driving spring 522 and a shutter back blade driving spring 532) which energize the shutter-driving member consisting of a shutter front blade driving lever 521 and a shutter back blade driving lever 531 is completed; and a travel prepared state in which the over-charged state is released. A consecutive photographing mode for conducting consecutive photographing operation is determined to be set while a switch instructing the start of imaging operation is turned on. When the switch is determined to be turned on, control is made so that driving may be made up to the travel prepared state without stopping the shutter charging means in the over-charged state after the charging of the shutter springs is completed.
