Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of precisely predicting a rise of temperature of an electronic component even in different usage environments.SOLUTION: A camera 1 comprises: a storage unit 9 in which the outputs of temperature sensors 31, 41, 51 for detecting the temperature data of an image pickup element 3, an image processing unit 4, a secondary battery 5, and an image pickup element 3 OB part and the output of the image pickup element 3 OB, as well as information about the upper-limit usage temperatures of the image pickup element 3, the image processing unit 4, the secondary battery 5, and the OB part of the image pickup element 3 are stored; and a control unit 10 for calculating a predicted outside air temperature of the camera 1 on the basis of the temperature data of the temperature sensors 31, 41, 51 and OB output, and calculating a remaining usable time of the image pickup element 3, the image processing unit 4, the secondary battery 5, and the image pickup element 3 OB part on the basis of information about the calculated predicted outside air temperature, the temperature data, and the upper-limit usage temperature.
