Title:
IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3397754
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of an image due to temperature variation by allowing lens parts having image pickup lenses integrated to form object images in respective image pickup areas and setting the coefficients of linear expansion within a specific range.
SOLUTION: Object lights made incident on a photographic lens 100 from three circular apertures 110a, 110b, and 110c are emitted from three lens parts 100a, 100b, and 100c to form three object images on a solid-state image pickup element 120. Their image intervals vary with the temperature of an image pickup system 10. There is no practical problem on condition that the quantity of inter-image variation of a B object image to a G object image as a reference image signal is ≤1/2 as large as pixel pitch(p). Supposing 20°C deviation from a reference temperature of 20°C and a 0.26×10-5 coefficient of the linear expansion of the solid-state image pickup element 120, the coefficient αL of the linear expansion of the solid-state image pickup lens 100 is so selected that 2×A×(αL-0.26×10-5)×20<(1/2)p. Here, A is the interval between adjacent images.
