Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a signal of each color at high speed from a color solid-state image pickup device with a relatively simple configuration while minimizing the number of output pins.
SOLUTION: An image pickup device has a photoelectric conversion means having a plurality of pixels (1) covered with a color filter composed of a plurality of colors, a plurality of signal lines (101 to 104 and 15 to 18) for sequentially outputting signals from the plurality of pixels, multiplexers (19 and 20) for multiplexing the signals from the plurality of signal lines with time division and outputting the multiplexed signals, and horizontal scanning circuits (11 to 14) for reading out the signals from the plurality of pixels to the signal lines such that the signals from the pixels covered with a color filter of one and the same color are continuously multiplexed in the multiplexers.
