Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup method obtaining the image of an object without blur, which moves at high speed and in which a bright part (high luminance part) and a dark part (low luminance part) coexist with optimum exposure and to provide a CCD camera.
SOLUTION: The method is to obtain a video signal by transferring a charge generated by receiving light by respective photosensors 11 arranged in a matrix form with charge transfer parts 14 and 15. The charges are pulled out from the respective photosensors to CCD 13a, 13b and 13c for three times in one field period and charge quantity to be processed is made different in accordance with the brightness/darkness of the object. Thus, exposure time is made different in accordance with the image elements.
