Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image picked up with an optimum image-pickup timing.
SOLUTION: When a release button 22 is half depressed in a state where a mode switch dial 20 is set at 'front/rear' in a consecutive shooting mode, image-pickup processing is carried out at every set image-pickup interval, and the latest image data on 9 frames at most are stored, while updating in a main memory of a camera 10. When the button 22 is fully depressed, the latest image data on 5 frames at all including the image-pickup timing, that is set right after the full pushing of the button 22 are stored while updating in the main memory. Then the image data stored in the main memory are read and processed into the display data which form a multi-picture. When the multi- picture is displayed on a liquid crystal monitor 26, the image data on the frames selected according to the operations of a pre-selection switch 28, a post-selection switch 30, and a decision/stored switch 32 are stored in an external memory.
