Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable exchange of information using acoustic waves between a plurality of devices.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus causes an acoustic communication unit 190 to emit a device connection information adjustment sound for performing the adjustment of the frequency of an acoustic wave to be used in communication by acoustic waves, to another image processing apparatus present on the periphery; causes the acoustic communication unit 190 to emit, when receiving the device connection information adjustment sound from the another image processing apparatus, a device connection information response sound for responding to the device connection information adjustment sound according to the frequency of the acoustic wave used; extracts, when receiving the device connection information response sound from the another image processing apparatus, signals at a predetermined frequency on the basis of a list of the frequencies of the acoustic waves to be used in the communication by acoustic waves and of predetermined frequencies; and determines, from among the predetermined frequencies, the frequency other than the frequency of the extracted signals, as a frequency of an acoustic wave to be used in the communication by acoustic waves.
