PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of improving accuracy of image processing using a polarization image.SOLUTION: An image processing section (image processing apparatus) 33 has image acquisition means 33a, determination means 33b, and image processing means 33c. The determination means 33b determines whether or not a second polarization image, captured under photography conditions different from those of a first polarization image, is acquired based on the luminance of the first polarization image, for each of multiple first polarization images acquired by the image acquisition means 33a. The image processing means 33c performs image processing by using the first polarization image when a determination was made that the second polarization image is not acquired for the first polarization image, and the second polarization image when a determination was made that the second polarization image is acquired for the first polarization image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
