Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program for preventing failure in exposure of bulb photographing having high difficulty to allow a photographer to photograph pictures according to intention of the photographer.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes: creating, by using image data read out from a memory continuously at a predetermined time interval, comparison dark composition image data obtained by comparison dark composition using a darker pixel for each pixel of the image data, and comparison light composition image data obtained by comparison light composition using a brighter pixel for each pixel of the image data (S35); creating data of a differential output image from the comparison light composition image data and the comparison dark composition image data (S47); and taking the created comparison dark composition image data as background output image data and the differential output image data as light track output image data, adjusting brightness of the respective data, and combining the respective images after adjustment (S49).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
