Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely combine and edit documents such as manuscripts, printed matter or the like and, electronic data of a personal computer, a facsimile or the like with the use of a digital copying machine with an image copy function and a printer function of an external apparatus.
SOLUTION: A resolution and a printing direction of electronic data obtained from an external personal computer 5, word processor, facsimile 7 or the like are automatically detected. When the resolution is different from a resolution of the image data inputted from an image-inputting apparatus 3, the resolution is converted by a resolution converter 11. When the printing direction does not agree with a printing direction of documents of the image data inputted from the image-inputting apparatus, the image data is rotated by a rotating device 8. Thereafter, the image data are outputted in a desired order of pages to an image-outputting apparatus 16.
