Abstract:
To solve the problem that when a moving subject is imaged while there is a difference in processing time between a subject tracking process and a focus detection process and the result of subject tracking is applied to the result of focus detection directly as is, the subject position is shifted.SOLUTION: Provided is an image processing device having focus detection means for performing focus detection using a plurality of focus detection regions and photometry means for detecting photometric image data that includes the color information of a subject. The image processing device comprises first computation means for acquiring the detection information of the focus detection means and then selecting a focus detection region and computing a focus shift amount in the focus detection region, and second computation means for computing a tracking process from the photometric image data detected by the photometry means, and is characterized in that the position of the subject is determined on the basis of the results of the second computation preceding and following in time series when adjusting the focus from the computation result of the first computation means, and information of the determined position is utilized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
