To achieve both of the persistence prevention and visibility of a display unit.SOLUTION: An image processing device (20) comprises: an information acquisition unit (average luminance calculation unit 21 or the like) which acquires information about the average luminance or the like of a display region (33) of a display unit (30); a decision unit (23) which decides whether or not to adjust the luminance distribution on the basis of the acquired information; and a luminance distribution adjustment unit (23) which adjusts the luminance distribution so as to reduce the luminance in at least a portion in the periphery of the display region on the basis of the decision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
