To provide an image processing apparatus capable of restoring address information even when the address information cannot be detected.

The image processing apparatus 100 detects a plurality of digital codes embedded in a read image and extracts information attached to a document image by combining the plurality of digital codes on the basis of the address information recorded in the digital codes. The apparatus 100 includes: an information detection means 4 for detecting the address information and digital data from the detected digital codes and registering the detected address information and digital codes to a code information registration means 5; and an address discrimination means 6 for comparing the digital codes whose addresses are confirmed and which are registered to the code information registration means 5 with the address unconfirmed digital codes whose addresses are not detected and discriminating the addresses of the address-unconfirmed digital codes when the information detection means 4 does not detect the address information.
