PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compress two or more partial images and easily execute image processing for joining overlapping portions.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 20 that combines two or more images A and B the part of which have an overlapping portion, which are imaged by a first fish-eye camera 16A and a second fish-eye camera 16B to generate one image includes compressors 22A and 22B for converting, in a unit of block of a predetermined number of pixels, the images A and B input from the respective fisheye cameras 16A and 16B into codes A and B including edge information indicating whether at least the block is an edge portion and a template matching unit 25 for performing template matching on the overlapped portion as an image having the edge information as pixel information based on the image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
