PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method capable of avoiding occupancy of the image processing device in editing and processing images.SOLUTION: An image read control unit 203 reads document images with characters entered in advance. An optical character recognition unit 204 recognizes character information in the read document images. An image acquisition unit 205 acquires a specific image in association with the character information, out of the document images.
