This image processing device is provided for performing predetermined image processing with the carried paper as an object by carrying the paper including first kind paper 52 of a width W1 in a paper width and second kind paper of a second width narrower than the width W1, and includes a first guide 42 and a second guide 44. The first guide 42 guides respectively both side edges of the carried first kind paper 52. The second guide 44 guides respectively both side edges of the carried second kind paper. The second guide 44 is supported in a retreatable state to a position where the first kind paper 52 can pass through the second guide 44. The second guide 44 retreats to a position where the first kind paper 52 can pass through the second guide 44 by the force acting on the second guide 44 when the first kind paper 52 contacts with the second guide 44 when the first kind paper 52 is carried and the first kind paper 52 contacts with the second guide 44.
