To provide an image processing device which is constituted in a simple structure with a reduced circuit scale and enables the movement of an object to be checked by a video image.
According to an embodiment, a DSP 4 which is an image processing device has an integration unit 12 and a movement determination unit 13. The integration unit 12 integrates luminance signals 21 which are pieces of information on each pixel obtained from video signals. The movement determination unit 13 detects time-series changes in a photographed video image from an integration result of the integration unit 12. The movement determination unit 13 determines the movement of an object in the video image. The integration unit 12 integrates information of a first frame in a unit region, and then integrates information of a second frame with a sign of a signal level in the integration for the first frame reversed. The movement determination unit 13 determines movement within the unit region in accordance with the integration results of the first frame and the second frame in the integration unit 12.
