A stereoscopic instruction section 21 designates a hue range of a stereoscopic print object by using a start position, an end position and an angle assigning direction on a hue circle. A feature quantity extract section 22 extracts hue data corresponding to a hue within a hue range designated by the stereoscopic instruction section 21 from original image data received from an image input apparatus 10. A stereoscopic image data generating section 23 generates stereoscopic image data (including height information corresponding to the hue data) for forming a stereoscopic image corresponding to the original image data on the basis of the hue data extracted by the feature quantity extract section 22.
