Abstract:
To provide an image processing apparatus which is easy to detect an identification object even when a part of the identification object protrudes from a captured image.SOLUTION: An ECU generates a processing target image 6 which is an image obtained by adding an auxiliary image 62 to at least a part of the outside of a captured image 61. In the processing target image 6, the ECU causes to move an identification area 8 smaller than an entire area of the processing target image 6 to a plurality of positions, and detects a pedestrian 7 from the captured image 61 by determining whether the pedestrian 7 to be identified exists in the image in the identification area 8 or not, in each of the plurality of positions. In this manner, even when a part of the identification target protrudes from the captured image, image processing that is easy to detect the identification target is executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
