Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make partial magnification change, inversion, back printing, trimming etc., using simple, inexpensive mechanism by providing a designating means that designates desired area of an original image and a processing means that makes inversion process for image signals and controlling the processing means according to area designation of the designating means. CONSTITUTION:A signal AS becomes on while image information of an area DM is being read. Digital image signals from a comparator CMP are inputted to a shift register SR through an AND gate AND 3, and an OR gate OR 2 when the signal AS is L level. When the signal AS becomes H level, the gate AND 3 is closed, and inverted signals of output of the comparator CMP are inputted to a shift register SR2 through an AND gate AND 4 and OR gate OR 2. Thus, signals obtained by inverting read signals in a designated area to an amplitude axis can be obtained.
