PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform correction on the brightness suitable for a photographic scene.SOLUTION: When performing correction on the brightness on the periphery of a digital camera, the digital camera makes an arbitrary portion on a screen selectable, and makes adjustable a correction coefficient of a correction target pixel that is defined according to a selected image area located on a line passing through an optical axis according to the selected portion on the screen. When the correction pixel according to the selected area is adjusted, the digital camera performs correction on the brightness of the periphery thereof on the basis of the correction coefficient of the selected area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
