Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide an image processing device and method with which a more precise viewpoint conversion image can be obtained. Provided is an image processing device 10 comprising: a planar image acquisition unit 20 for acquiring a planar image; a distance image acquisition unit 30 for acquiring a distance image having depth information; an image recognition unit for extracting, from the planar image, three-dimensional object regions Ob1, Ob2 which correspond to ranges of three-dimensional objects; a distance adjustment unit for computing depth information of the three-dimensional object regions on the basis of the distance image; a table correction unit for correcting, on the basis of the computed depth information of the three-dimensional object regions, coordinate conversion information for coordinate conversion of the planar image into a viewpoint conversion image of a view from a prescribed viewpoint; and an image conversion unit for generating viewpoint conversion images PG1, PG2 by coordinate conversion of the planar image using the corrected coordinate conversion information.
