To provide an image processing method which can promptly and correctly correct density irregularities caused by characteristics of nozzles, and to provide an image processing apparatus and a recording apparatus.
A test pattern is recorded by forming dots to non-adjacent positions on a record medium by adjacent recording elements of a recording head. A density of dots formed in the test pattern is read, and a position of dots to be formed by each recording element is obtained on the basis of the dot density. A distance of dots to be formed to adjacent positions by adjacent recording elements is obtained on the basis of the density and position of each dot. A correction coefficient related to a correcting process of image data is calculated from the distance of dots to be formed to adjacent positions by adjacent recording elements, and the density of each dot.
