Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and effectively extract an outline of a cell and to automatically and promptly detect the change in shape.
SOLUTION: A phase difference image and a fluorescent image are processed for an identical field. In the processing of the phase difference image, the edge of the phase difference image is extracted (step S101), and a GVF is created based on the extracted edge (step S102). In the processing of the fluorescent image, an initial outline is created (step S103). Based on the processing results, the outline of the cell is extracted by using the GVF Snakes (step S104).
